Hello, my name is Choi-Boram.
I am an illustrator based in Seoul—someone who dreams, and someone who records the everyday.
I draw from what I love and from the invisible energies that connect them.
The energy that has flowed through Mother Earth since the beginning of time, the vitality of the land and sunlight, the ocean,
and our relationships with the plants and animals around us—all of these deeply inspire my work.
I’m also deeply interested in how we(people) are connected.
People who come from different places but share the same roots, people who share the same roots but have different souls, those who place new dots on the map, and those who carefully tend the maps that already exist —We influence each other, through such relationships I see the world,
they fill me anew.
I like cozy tea times, long late-night talks, and the simple food and air that sustain each day.
Painting these small yet profound moments is my greatest joy.

Most of my work is created entirely by hand using traditional materials, then carefully scanned to be shared in digital form.
I don’t believe tools are the most important part of a painting, but I choose them with care — something quiet yet essential.
Through the gentle weight of everyday life and the touch of my fingertips, I aim to express the layered textures of emotions that build up slowly over time. In doing so, I try to preserve the natural qualities of the materials —their imperfections, and their living traces.
Uneven lines, faint stains, the impossibility of going back, and subtle tremors all remind me of daily life — slightly irregular, yet filled with a quiet humanity.
I treasure such imbalance.
and I hope to discover countless shades within it throughout the journey ahead.
